ACCOMPLISH investigators had <a href=\"http:\/\/search.nejm.org\/search?p=R&amp;srid=S9%2d4&amp;lbc=nejm&amp;w=ACCOMPLISH&amp;url=http%3a%2f%2fcontent%2enejm%2eorg%2fcgi%2fcontent%2fshort%2f359%2f23%2f2417&amp;rk=1&amp;uid=952727838&amp;sid=2&amp;ts=subs&amp;rsc=tx8XwZJUZbwdp6rn&amp;method=and&amp;isort=score&amp;start%5fyear=2000&amp;start%5fmonth=2&amp;rurl=yes&amp;nurl=http%3a%2f%2fcontent%2enejm%2eorg%2fcgi%2fcontent%2fabstract%2f359%2f23%2f2417\">previously reported the main results of the trial<\/a>, which was stopped early when the benazepril\/amlodipine combination was found to be more effective in\u00a0reducing cardiovascular events in 11,506 high-risk patients.
