I love\u00a0older women, professional women, stay-at-home moms. I love how women put their family first. I love how you\u2019re so concerned that I\u2019ll get to your husband.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the final scene, a\u00a0woman\u00a0in a bathing suit looks apprehensively\u00a0over her shoulder as the voice warns,\u00a0<em>\u201cYou have no idea that I\u2019m coming after you.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>Eileen Melnick McCarthy, director of communications for the foundation,\u00a0told a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/beaconnews.ca\/calgary\/2012\/02\/death-loves-menopause\/\">reporter<\/a>\u00a0that the intent of the campaign is to \u201cwake up Canadians to the threat of heart disease and stroke.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the print ad below has appeared in a Canadian magazine. The copy, in case you can\u2019t make it out, reads as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Death loves menopause. He loves that menopause makes women more vulnerable to heart disease and stroke. And that women are far more likely to die of a heart attack. Most of all, he loves that heart disease and stroke is the #1 killer of women. Please donate, and make death wait.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Is this a legitimate way to \u201cwake up\u201d people to the threat of cardiovascular disease? Or unnecessary and\u00a0counterproductive scare tactics? I lean toward the latter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/md3_wZb7gXY\">Video: Death Loves Women.
