A black Labrador Retriever slowly rouses herself from sleep.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>ah. nice long nighttime snoozle. my favorite thing. ending soon.<\/p>\n<p>but many favorite things. partial list. i&#8217;m good with lists.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">1. belly rub.<br \/>\nc. peanut butter.<br \/>\n4: stuffed toy lamb, with squeak. though missing ear now. because we played too much.<br \/>\n7. tennis ball left out in park. for weeks. better after warm rain. and other doggos chew.<br \/>\ng. last but should be first. you.<\/p>\n<p>list could be longer. but hear sound of human. half open eyes. no one here yet.<\/p>\n<p>back to snoozetown? not quite.<\/p>\n<p>hear human sound again, coming down steps. now he&#8217;s on ground. with me. eye to eye.<\/p>\n<p>nice pet behind ears. hmmm. but one ear left inside out. that&#8217;s ok. i forgive easy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Who&#8217;s a good girl?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>silly question. of course. i am. but he asks this a lot. so i tell him. i&#8217;m<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.nejm.org\/hiv-id-observations\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/05\/Screen-Shot-2019-05-27-at-6.34.11-AM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-9235\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.nejm.org\/hiv-id-observations\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/05\/Screen-Shot-2019-05-27-at-6.34.11-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"168\" height=\"153\" \/><\/a> awesome.<\/p>\n<p>stretch legs. long yawn.<\/p>\n<p><em>Time for work!
